Nikki Roberts facilitates CPD approved “I AM” Parental Empowerment face to face courses to promote mental, emotional, physical and spiritual resilience.
As a mother of 4 children (Conor, Kieran and twins Lily & Daisy) Nikki understands first-hand the need for personal wellness and self-care in order to parent effectively. She is the author of a Parents book which is useful on its own or as part of the programme.
The “I AM” Integrating Art & Mindfulness Online Course is a Government approved CPD course. It aims to offer practical tools and techniques to promote resilience and wellbeing through meditative, mindfulness and creative means. The participant will learn how to self-soothe, explore the importance of self-care and improve communication skills through NLP (neurolinguistic programming) and will receive a certification of participation upon completion of the course.
"Welcome to the "I AM" program. This course was created for teachers to support them both personally and professionally. Due to the unprecedented resulting circumstances of COVID-19 virus, many parents and guardians are now finding themselves adopting the role of the classroom teacher, within a 'home schooling' setting. It is hoped that by extending this course to the general public, it will introduce them to coping and self soothing mechanisms which they can use for not only the children in their care, but for themselves and extended family. IT MUST BE NOTED THAT THE FORUMS AND INTERACTIVE ASSIGNMENTS ARE NOT OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. However, all participants are welcome to undertake any of the assignments or recommended activities in a private setting. The experiential learning, your individual response to the art making process and image making are yours to interpret yourself, so do not feel pressurised at all in having to create 'masterpieces'. Often, the more 'raw' the image is can prove more emotive and powerful. There is no right or wrong way of creating - just your way. So, make and take time for yourself. We hope you enjoy the course.
